Laura provides individual, marital, and family therapy for adults for a wide variety of both clinical and non-clinical issues. Areas of special interest include relationship issues, couples counseling, codependency, emotional abuse, divorce recovery, anxiety and other mood disorders, and Christian counseling. She uses her years of experience and her training in a variety of therapy modalities to customize her treatment to each patient’s unique characteristics and needs.

Laura is trained and licensed as both an individual counselor and a marriage and family therapist. So, although she treats a wide variety of issues, she places special focus on how these issues affect and are affected by the relationships in a person’s life. Exploring how our relationships with family, spouses, coworkers, and friends shape our lives and bettering these relationships is a critical component in improving mental and emotional health.

Your story matters. Who you are, how you think, what you believe, what you need, what hurts you – it’s all of the utmost importance. And the experiences that have shaped your life, both good and bad, are all part of the unique and wonderful person that is you.
My goal in therapy is to help you discover, or rediscover, that person

Sometimes our lives get jumbled into what seems like a hopeless mess. It takes a great deal of courage and hope to tackle that mess.  A thorough understanding of the problems and painful experiences you are struggling with is an important part of our journey. But it is just one part of a much bigger picture that includes your power to overcome these problems, your resilience in the face of difficulties, your willingness to be vulnerable, and your own unique abilities to transform your life.
